Information for Parents

How do I find the right nanny for my family?
This is a timeless question in the world of childcare. Mismatching of family and carers is more prevalent in today’s society because of the fast pace of modern life. By using the services of a reputable accredited agency you can be assured that candidates have been thoroughly screened by an experienced childcare consultant.
Mulberry Nannies takes that process a step further through direct consultation with the family before any screened candidates are introduced. All our focus goes into finding the best possible nanny for the individual needs of your family.

Creating the right environment

The nannies we select are dedicated to providing children in their care with the best environment for them to learn, grow and feel safe. Our selection and introductory procedures ensure that we only put forward candidates who have the necessary commitment, experience and skills to provide your children with a secure, happy and stimulating environment. We also ensure that candidates have a full understanding of the practical aspects of the job and that they have realistic salary expectations. In short, we aim to make the whole process as stress-free as possible.
Mulberry Nannies sets out to provide childcare that allows every child to flourish. We believe it is our role to set up the conditions for what can often be wonderful relationships, providing the sort of essential support that parents expect and deserve.
Families have often approached us for help after experiencing poor nanny matches elsewhere. In almost every instance we find that the answer to their problems involves placing more emphasis on honesty, consideration and communication.
A bit of flexibility on both sides can also make a big difference. If all of this can be understood at the initial interview the relationship can only grow stronger.

Screening Process
We insist that all our candidates have undertaken and passed a recognised childcare qualification or have a minimum of two years’ relevant experience. We will also ensure that candidates have all necessary experience and training to take charge of specific duties that will be expected of them.
All of our nannies have been subjected to an enhanced disclosure process (police check). A majority also carry a paediatric first aid course. If the latter is essential and the candidate is acceptable, a course can be arranged through Mulberry Nannies.
